Hopefully I can keep this build thread more updated than my last lol When I sold my TJ I didn't think that I would be back in a Jeep within a few months. However the pos car I bought wasn't working and I came across this unmolested 2001 Cherokee Sport. I hitched a ride down to Corinth to meet the guy and to check it out. It was in amazing condition and just seemed like it needed some tlc, so I brought it home. The check engine light was on due to rotted evap hoses and the oil pressure gauge was maxed out, so I plugged a mechanical gauge on it and realized it was only holding around 10-13 pounds of oil pressure. After driving it a week I noticed I kept loosing coolant and couldn't figure it out. I started researching the topic around multiple jeep forums and it all pointed to the cracked head in certain Cherokee models. I started watching several YouTube videos and reading a few write ups so I decided to give it a go and I think it turned out decent with only a few hiccups lol. While I had it apart I went ahead and replaced the oil filter adapt gasket and it was a pain in the ass. Got it all back together and it wouldn't crank up so I started looking at ever plug and wire. However when I took the intake off I didn't remove the fuel line from rail and I moved the intake to get it out of the way. When I did that the line twisted and wouldn't allow fuel to build up at rail. So in the last few weeks I have put on... New head New fuel pump Head gasket Valve cover gasket Intake manifold gasket Flush radiator New trains fluid New diff fluid in Dana 30 A big thanks to Mike for helping with the reassembly and Keith with the fuel pump. This might be Detention Version 2.0 lol

Got plans to mod this one? Yeah I do however I just don't know what I want to do with it yet. Whatever I do it'll need new rear leaf springs, I was looking at a 3" or 4.5" lift

So Teach calls me and asks if I still have the shocks he gave me. My answer, "I do, didn't you just get it running and now you're going to start taking something else apart?"
I VOTE HE SHOULD START CARRYING BOLTS AROUND IN HIS POCKET SO HE CONSTATLY FEELS HE IS WORKING ON SOMETHING.

Well at the time that I gave you those shocks, I didn't think I'd have another jeep so soon and you weren't using them but thanks Robert lol I'm just gathering parts for my next modification lol I originally wanted bilsteins but since they are are out of my price range I'll just use the cheap stuff.

Possibilities are endless, but I would recommend frame stiffners as the first modification.
