I like this idea also. It's a heart breaker when you hear about something bad like this happening to a child. Also, being an offroad club, it makes sense, since they are fellow offroad enthusiest. I've only met the Husband(Pat), but he seemed like a real good guy that I would get along with good. I actually met him pulling their jeep out of a deep mud hole. This whole thing kind of hits close to home,as I had a cousin hit by a truck while on a sxs, and I've seen not only the emotional and physical impact, but also the financial impact it had on the family. I'm not an idea guy, but I would be willing to help with whatever someone comes up with.

I might be jumping the gun here, but according to the park vote we are looking at SMORR and I know that is going to have an impact on how many people can make it. If that's the case we need to find a few other ways to help raise money for our charity. So far MJLs idea seems like a winner, so I'm thinking we give it a few more days for more suggestions and if this still seems to be the one to go with, we start putting together some ideas to start raising money soon, as others have suggested, so that we can help as much as possible!

Yeah, SMORR would probably knock us out of the run itself  but I'm all for other ways of raising money between now & then. |
