Figured I would go ahead and start a thread on this since it is about to start happening bit by bit. Went today and picked up some FJ 80 axles for the buggy. The rear is going in as soon as possible and for the front, as of now, I am just going to steal the high pinion 3rd and put it in the existing axle. Good thing about the rear is itis a strong disc braked, full float axle, so now I won't be scared of snapping something. Then after all that completely gut the buggy's electrical and rewire it. Then maybe some 40s?? in the near future.

Not to derail, but what is replacing those tires?

Not to derail, but what is replacing those tires? something more streetable. maybe bias non comp trepadors or swamper ltb's or sx's. The stickies are unstoppable in the rocks. But they look like they're melting when you drive them down the street, especially on a hot summer day.

Not as grippy but last a lot longer and streetable...

On on a side note to the side note, does anyone know who in town, has in stock, intermediate shaft bearing and seal for a dodge dana 60. Got the tow rig stuck last night because I couldn't get the front to engage, so I ended up having the take off the shift fork and manually engage it. Neighbor loved watching me try to get up the hill in 2wd starting off in 3rd, wish he would have took a video of it, because it was nothing but black smoke, turbo whistle, and waste gate . Speaking of that anyone want to go the truck pulls next time they come around?

Well it looks like me taking the buggy out anytime soon are shot to hell. Cranked it up the other day and it sounds like there is 5 lbs of bolts in the oil pan. Pulled the plugs to check compression and there was moisture in the cylinders. Looks like there is a new motor in its future now.
