A client of ours got 5 computers stolen this weekend from their office. The criminals didn't know we have tracking agents on all of them. The computers are now in San Antonio Texas and they are hooked up to their home internet. I have their IP address from Time Warner Cable. The closest I could get is a zip code of 78201.
The Germantown PD don't seem to care. We have tried calling the San Antonio PD and they equally don't seem to care. Is there anything I can do to help recover this stolen equipment?

Hate to tell people this but call G'town again and if the officer doesn't seem to want to mess with it talk to his supervisor and demand something be done. After that call daily and speak to the case officer. Were they stolen from G'town? If so then they will have to be the ones to start the investigative process.
Remember the squeaky wheel gets oiled. Besides how much does G'town really have to deal with?

What Greg said.
If you can't get an officer to do the initial report on scene then go down to the department and get with their detectives division.

Any updates?
What's messed up is you have to ask other police how to get police to do their damn jobs. When/if this is ever resolved I would seriously talk to someone higher up their food chain. Normally I don't advocate complaints against other officers but when they don't even want to do their jobs, that's ridiculous.
Hope this gets worked out for you.

GG Negative, we (when I say we I mean Bobbie) found that the report was actually filed on the 16th with Gtown PD...

Yeah. They got the police on site Monday morning when they showed up for work. The detective contacted us asking for a time frame for the IP I found in San Antonio yesterday. I have no clue how fast any of this stuff should take. I'm just scared the computers are going to change hands again before the police are able to get to them.
