This is mainly for people that don't follow on FB aka BOB.. so I figured since I'm bored to death in a hotel room in Boston I would throw this up.. for BOB or anyone else who would care to view them..
Went to training in Germany for 2 weeks at the end of Oct... figured I would make the best of it and take a wknd trip through the Alps to Venice. Here are some of the "good" pics of the trip... the rest can be found here.. s235.photobucket.com/user/charlied1771/library/Germany%20Trip?sort=3&page=1
Main square in Munich.. This is the government building.. lot of history that I could go over but don't wanna bore ya..
Me and a Swiss guy from class decided to go to the famous Hofbrauhaus which was the official beer of the king.. Got really drunk on 3 liters of the best beer I had ever tasted!!
Then off to Venice.. on the way is a bunch of churches, castles perched on mountain sides and lots of tunnels thru mountains.. (see link to pics)
First stop is Club Hotel La Vela in a lake front village called Trobole' in Italy... beautiful little place with ton of photo ops.. just didn't have the time cause I got there late and left early so I could have the whole day in Venice..
Then there's Venice itself... Apparently I went when there were 2 cruise ships docked there so the whole place was crazy crowded!! So much that actually enjoying it meant I had to take the not so traveled areas, which to me is even better than the tourist traps..
Next stop was a bed and breakfast in Murano Italy on the Austrian border... Set on a mountain side in a vineyard overlooking the town.. very nice..
Then off to Zugspitze which is the highest point in Germany.. They have a lift that takes you to the top which is damn near a vertical accent!! Unfrigginbelivable.. highlight to the whole trip..
I did hike down to the bottom of the structure so I could get a good Gorpro shot...
