This is going to be my Dana 60 tear down and rebuild thread for the "new" axles going into Slinky.
How the axles looked when I got them home from St. Louis. Thanks to Charlie and James for the help.
Front HP Kingpin 60 from a 89 F350 with lockouts.
76 D60 from a Ford High Boy F250

Start removing the outer locking mechanism by removing the allen head screws holding it in place. 
Then the Snap ring holding the internals in place and the phillips head screw holding the internal cog in place. Attachments:

once the screw is removed the spring behind the cog should push it out 
remove and save the spring and cog

Since I'm doing a complete rebuild I wanted to make sure the spindles were in good shape so I had to remove the 2 spindle nuts and washer between the 2 in order to remove the bearings
