This was yet another GREAT turnout for our charity we chose to support this year at the 2nd Annual RITS. Thanks to you, the members, we were able to collect close to two dozen bags and boxes FULL of clothing, several boxes of home goods, baby food, baby formula and somewhere around $1200.00 in monetary donations. We don't have an exact figure on that yet but will as soon as all the t-shirt proceeds have been collected.
I spoke with Marla with Families in Transition and made her aware of what we've done. She was so excited that she was literally crying on the phone. She said they were having a board meeting that same night and their grant money hadn't come through yet and the amount we were able to collect was just above what they are short right now. We, the Founders, are making the exchange with her in the next few days. I'm sorry but this has to be a private meeting due to the importance of keeping their location unknown. We're actually going to meet her away from their building as to not bring any attention to what they do.
So, once again we would like to throw out a huge THANK YOU to all of you that came and supported this great cause.
