I am putting up for sale my 92 BMW 325i project. It does run good, and drives good, but needs a just a few things to be a daily driver.
1992 BMW 325i 4 door
2.5 L 6 cyl non-vanos engine
sun-roof
auto transmission
Bilstein front Struts
Megan front and rear 2" lowering springs
New passenger side control arm/bushing with less than 100 miles on it
New all metal water pump - just put it on a few weeks back
New aluminum performance water pump pulley- new a few weeks back
New heater valve
New fuel pump
18" AT Italia wheels (some curb rash and dings, but still look good on the car)
Less than 1000 miles on new front tires
New rear shocks (not installed yet)
Things that need work:
The manual fan had a blade broke on it, so I took it off to do the BMW fan delete mod (you can google it to find out more about it). This is possible because they come with powerful 2 speed electric fans. To finish this mod, you would need to buy a lower temperature fan switch sensor (about $50 online). You could also just bolt a mechanical fan back up to it if you wish (a few dollars at the salvage yard).
I just bought a used oem electric fan an put on it (I paid $70 for it), but still have to hook up the wires.
The driver side inside door panel is rough.
The plastic clips that hold the windows on track are broke on a cpl of windows. I have the clips to fix at lest 1 window. The clips are inexpensive on ebay (just a few dollars per window).
Driver side door is primered, hood is white, and the rest of the car is silver (original color). It has some dings and small dents in it. No rust. So basically to look great, it needs some minor body work and a paint job.
Last time I checked the a/c compressor worked. I had it gassed up once, and it worked for a month then leaked down. I had put a new relay in the blower fan and it worked, then it went out again. I'm not sure if a wire just come undone, or it is something else. I never even looked at it to see.
I think that covers most of it. It is a fun car to drive, and handles amazing. A blast to drive downtown and fly around in the tight alleys.
It has been setting up for a while, and I just have to much on my plate to do what I want to with it right now. All it really has to have to drive it is a lower temp switch or mechanical fan. It is missing a cpl pieces of side trim. I should have them somewhere, but I'm not sure on that. I will just have to look.
