When you add ramps to the front, make them flip down for when you're not hauling both.

So I was talking to Clyde and the double decker thing James posted might not be a bad idea....biggest downside I see is all the wind drag.

If you add anything to that trailer it will just mark it heavier. And that will affect the way it pulls. If you did mod it I would cut off the dove and floor and take your new steel and lay on top of the frame and center it to where you have your weight distributed evenly over the axles. You have to have some tounge weight to make it tow properly so don't set it all at the rear. Then add your braces for what ever floor you use. Unless you can do it your self or have a friend do it you'll be looking at paying a welder to cut and weld and fab it all up. Might be time and money ahead to just sell what you have and purchase a trailer like you want. This... :-)

Ok, so after weighing my options it's going to be a regular 20' car hauler. Thanks for the input guys....I'm gonna ride a couple days extra to come up with the money...should be able to pick it up when I get home next go round. Ya'll keep your eyes open for other good deals for me. The sub 2k trailers posted earlier helped me make up my mind....the ones I was finding were closer to 3k!

So much for rebuilding a free trailer on the cheap! Just got my new one ordered.....22' car hauler with no dovetail. Having it built and picking it up next week.

It's my father in laws....he was going to let me add to it as long as he could use it when he needed...he won't get rid of it or I would hook you up! Lol

Should I change and get the dovetail? Reason I ordered flat was so I could make sure all 8 tires were sitting on flat and not have to worry about one being on the dovetail....I'm having people make me second guess my decision though. From what I can tell I am going to need between 20 and 21' of space for the tires so my rzr 4 would be on the top of the slope for sure.

I haul a 4 wheeler behind the tractor on my dovetail all the time. I don't see where it matters.

Dovetail.. doesn;'t matter if you have any sitting on it or not.. and if you need to haul something other than the rzr's you'll appreciate it!
