My tow truck is a 96 F250 and at 190,000 miles I decided that it needed a little maintenance. As I started tearing things apart and quickly found out that it needed a lot more than originally planned.
The whole front suspension is out of the truck I am replacing all the steering components, upper and lower ball joints, radius arm bushings, shocks, brake pads (going ceramic dustless) and TTB pivot bushings.
My question is about the pivot bushings. The pivot bushings are made to be pushed in from the front and they have a shoulder that I assumed was to keep them from going in to far. The original ones didn't have the shoulder pushed flat against the TTB. Are they supposed to be pushed all the way in to where the shoulder is against the TTB or is are they supposed to be left out a little bit? Cant find anything about replacing them in a 2WD truck.
Here are a few pictures of what I've done so far.
This is what I started with And here is what I have now

Pretty sure they are suppose to be pushed in all the way, at least mine were on the b2's TTB setup... Now I have long arms and flex joints instead lol

I am leaning towards they are supposed to be pressed all the way in also. I was able to find a few pics and it appears that they are pressed in.
Well I am going to get after it tomorrow night and at least try to get the suspension hung, Gonna have to save a few more dollars to get the rest of the steering parts.
