I need one that's good but cheap!! My block, heads and crank are all cleaned and shot peened... Now I just need a cheaper place that will bore it out for me and install some valve guides... BB&T are expensive J.B Cook I called and they are cheaper but had to look in a book to see if the 389 could be bored to a 400.. Called Napa in Oxford TWICE and still haven't got a return call from the machine guy.. Anyone else???

Sandy's does head work, but I don't think they do block work. Harris Quan might do block work, but I'm not sure. I can find out tomorrow.

OK, I just found out that the guy that did all of the machine work at the NAPA downtown took all of the equipment home with him when they shut the machine shop down. He is doing it at home now. I'll try to get contact info. tomorrow.

BB&T.... Cheaper? You sure?!!! Lol Yep.. got quotes from 2 other shops.. Ty's and Walker Engines... Both were $25 more or bore and honing.. $100 more on valve guide install.. Didn't even check on a rebuild kit.. But BB&T has it $100 cheaper than what I found online.. So..

I stopped by Sandy's today and they don't do blocks only heads. Cost of the standard head work is $125 each and the valve guides would be $90 installation for both heads plus parts.
