I want to remove this cop spotlight the previous owner put on my Rubicon. I need to plus the hole it left. Besides welding a plug in and bond'ing it, does anyone know if they make a plug kit for sealing these things off where they wont leak? The outside looks to be a 1/2" hole with two small screw holes above and beneath the main hole.
I've looked online but cant find crap...$%%^&*

They make rubber plugs that size.. Try Fastenal. As far as the screw holes you'll prolly have to either caulk them or bondo

Doesn't someone sell "armor" for that area. I was thinking Kate was talking about it at one point when she was wanting to remove her lightbar that made holes on either side of her windshield.

Mike, excellent ideas! I like the first ones posted. Says they tie in with rivets up top though. I just hate drilling on that frame. Im not sure the light mounts or mirror mounts would come up high enough to cover the hole. The asshole who installed this put it unusually high. Looks like the full piece of armor might be the only solution without welding and bondo...

Guys with old trucks like my '49 actually install those lights in them because they were a factory option. I wouldn't just throw it away it could be worth a couple bucks.

Well the hole is a little small (1/2"). A little to small for me, but it ought to be just right for Charlie. Come on over Charlie, I have plenty of lube!
