I had a ghastly set of Rugged Ridge sliders on my old rig. They were heavy, ugly and ugly. Im looking for a decent set, priced within reason (not 500 bucks) and somewhat resemble the style of the Poison Spyder Ricochet Rockers. I like the idea of having a step to use while driving.. Yo guys have any recommendations? What are you using (pics appreciated)? I can assemble my own and paint them as well. Im not paying a extra 100 bucks to powder coat something that I plan on scratching... If you are unfamiliar with the Ricochet Rockers, heres a pic.

Mine were just like that.. Clyde had the pattern and I made them and installed myself.. they held up awesomely!! And the step is a great bonus, didn't think I would use them that much but they were used all the time! If you can get just the sides cheaper I would do that and just get someone to bend you some pipe to add on.. Too bad you live in California or I would come weld them up for ya!

I might pick up a set of the ricochets that need assembled then. I can most likely weld them at work. Dont know what kind of wire and gas are on our millermatic. If i cant though, I might pop over to your place one weekend and weld em up.

I like those alot, and they are reasobnably priced, but i couldnt find the install instructions to see how they mount. Do they tie into the body bushings?

They go about 6" under the body and use flush mount bolts on the side and bottom. I've landed on the passenger side hard enough to dent the tube and it was so hard it shut the Jeep off.

Not a great pic... He didn't have the wheel well to wheel well option when I got them...but I'd get that option if I were to buy them again.

So they tie into the 3 body bushings and screw to the side of the body? If so, that what I am looking for. I would want them unfinished and just put several coats of flat black premium spray paint on them. I taint paying 60 bucks for powder coating LOL. I know for a fact that 1/2 (maybe more) of the manufacturers that advertise powder coating don't even do it. They spray them with a few coats of industrial black and call it good. Bastards!

These DO NOT tie into the body bushings. There is a cutout around the middle body bushing. I never understood why PSC ties it into the body bushings. This show the cutout And how they mount around the bushings
