Is the Hobart a tapped voltage machine? Are you looking at the Lincoln 180t or c. The home depot and Lowes versions are tapped machines where most welding supply stores sell continuous voltage machines. If you buy a tapped machine you can print a Lowes 10% off coupon off the internet (that lowes will not accept) and take it to home depot and they will accept it. i believe it is and i was just looking at the lincolns at HD. the "plastic" versions lol. they are right at my price range so.... i couldnt find the 10% off you were talking about. maybe its in that moving package you have to sign up for...

I haven't had any issues out of the Hobart 110 I got from C2. I've put a few spools through it and no telling how many he did.

100 flux welding is fine for small household type stuff.. But if you've never welded with a 220 gas you would be very surprised how much better it is!!

I owned a Millermatic 212 for years. Used to weld for days on end with it. Amazing welder. Pricey, but amazing mig welder. But you'll need some argon.

I got an old school Lincoln tombstone arc welder with 3 settings..
1. Off 2. Little spark won't weld tin cans 3. Sun
I need to order a switch for it, it works great just not all the amp settings work. I wanna learn arc welding a little more.

One of these is on my list of things to buy when I get a garage. For the small stuff I do the 110 works fine. If I need the 220, I know a few people with them! Haha

I've got one of those with the same issue. The switch on mine us burnt out abs doesn't make good contact. It's worth fixing IMO

FYI, Home Depot in Olive Branch has a Lincoln 110v 140 wirefeed in the clearance section for $393. Has gas port but no regulator. They said it was a display.

thanks for the tip but the welder got put on hold as of the moment. the DD/tow pig needed some tlc, so it got some of the cash. ive been fighting the urge to buy more parts with the remainder but im holding out.
