Helped a friend install his Aussie Locker in the front his 4Runner this weekend. All in all it was a pretty smooth install. No real big surprises or issues. As I have time and as pics download I'll be putting them up here Pulling the front chunk isn't a big deal, just straight forward turning wrenches. There are 3 bolts that mount the chunk to the frame.

Overall this wasnt a hard install at all. The biggest issue we had was getting the chunk out once the axlw shafts were disconnected. We had to drive the studs out to get the room we needed.
One nice thing was the ring and pinion was replaced not to long ago so everything was good and tight. All of our measurements was on the tight side of what the instructions said was acceptable.

IFS.. yuck! Good write up tho! I know IFS isnt the greatest but this 4runner works real good. I have most of the hard parts to do the SAS, just waiting on him to get some money so we can do it in a weekend and not tie up my lift for a month. Greg G

Just sucks to work on compared to solid axle..
