Not sure how everyone feels about sunglasses but thought I'd post this for general information.
I don't like to spend a lot of money on clothes or anything like that but two things that I take care of are my feet and my eye's. I buy the best comfort and support shoes I can find (within reason) and the best sunglasses I can buy.
Over the past 25 years I have owned 3 pair of Ocean Waves Sunglasses and just purchased my 4th pair. During that time I've also made the mistake of purchasing a few other brands (Ray Ban, Maui Jim, Costas) and all were good but just did not match up to the Ocean Waves. One thing about Ocean Waves is that they are an independently owned company that custom grinds their own lenses including Rx lenses.
Two of my purchases including my most recent were/are Rx. The cost is not cheap but after purchasing 2 pair of no name glasses through my insurance provider between my first OW Rx purchase and my new pair, I'll always find the money to buy good glasses. Even with special coatings and glare protection the glasses from my insurance just don't compare. Also, even after deductible my sunglasses at the doctor cost me close to $200.
I prefer the glass lenses in Backwater Green but also like the Deepwater Blue.
If you hunt, fish, love the outdoors or just want to see the world form a new perspective you should check them out. I love to fly fish and there is no other sunglass on the market that compares to these when trying to "sight cast" for trout.
