Ok well my brother bought my 8.8 so I will be calling mr.complete in the morning regarding a Dana 44. Im looking to pick up one with 3.73 so I can run it til my gears are installed. Im going to regear to 4.88, is there a certain one to look for?

Only one that will bolt in is from a TJ or LJ. The Grand Cherokees used a Dana 44A with an aluminum center section. Avoid those because they are weaker from what I've read.

What bout the trak lok type? Or abs? That just depends on what the Jeep had that it came out of. I think I'd rather have an open carrier so I could put a locker in it vs the traklok. Not sure how to tell if the D44 is set up for ABS.

I know we got our tj from mr.complete but I hate them. Called this morning to check inventory on dana 44 rear, guy said they had two. Left work early to go by and pick one up and they have none. Said last timr they had one was years ago
