Wasn't really expecting this padding to be stuck like this. What's the best way to get this "s...." off. I'm about ready to replace the spreader bar and put a couple more bars up top.

Go to a auto paint shop and buy a rubber pad for removing decals.. It will get that off and not scar your paint..

Penetrating oil? May not be worth the clean up though.
