A friend of mine has an 03 TJ and wants to mount his HiLift on the hood. When he went to 4WP they quoted him $106 for the mount. Seriously?! Anyway can yall post up some pics of how you mounted the HiLift? If they are homemade,cheap, thats even better. Also I am trying to get him over here with all the other cool kids  Greg G |

I made steel plates cut and measured the holes... used a 4" bolt welded to the plates.. then welded a washer half way up the bolt.. used rubber washers and a wing nut.. Not hard to do if you have the skill to measure cut and weld.. Cheap as hell too..  |

Mine was mounted across the back rollbar above the seat. Cost a total of $15.00 for 2.5 inch stainless steel exhaust clamps. Got the idea from BOB'S LJ.

I have a welder and am a decent small parts maker. I'm just trying to find a cheap hood mount and an excuse to buy the swag press brake kit.
I'm a guy and will use any excuse to justify buying a new tool.

Just put the weight of it right over the hinges... Long bolts. Reinforce it underneath. It should be fine right? Lol
