My Dad has an old 220 arc welder... but he's not to keen on the idea of it going anywhere. So if y'all wanna come bear the cold and weld it at my house, that's fine. It'd be dang hard getting the YJ in my yard with my car hauler and b2 broken in the way Yeah, that ain't happenin'. I don't want to trailer it down the street to do this, let alone Mexico.

You can weld it with a 240 mig but the wire is very expensive, over $100 for 2 #s, and you need 98%argon 2% oxygen. Shielding gas.

I would pull the axle and stand it verticle to weld it.

Looks like I'll have to get some nickle welding rods. I've been reading up on this and folks say it can be done hot or cold. Now, the issue is getting some one with a stick welder to do this.......cough cough cough....chris land.....or jason phillips.....the YJ isn't going to be driveable when this happens but I have a 220 hookup in my garage that I run my mig off of... Let me know when you want to do this, I can bring my welder over to your house.
