THIS THREAD IS TO REMAIN ON TOPIC, ANY OFF TOPIC POSTS WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT WARNING. Well, after many conversations and all the input from all of you.......the members......we have FINALLY picked an animal shelter/refuge for the charity drive for the Winter Run. Now, we had a lot of options and a bunch of research that needed to be done on these facilities. We looked into shelters run by cities, shelters run by towns, shelters run by "non-profit" organizations, etc etc etc. After a TON of consideration the animal shelter we decided to go with is the Saint Francis Animal Rescue and Refuge which is run by a very nice lady Trish Lane. Trish runs this organization out of her home just outside of Oakland, with only a handful of volunteers. Trish doesn't even have enough funds to build any kind of housing so she depends on a very important network of foster homes that she has built her trust in over the past few years. Trish gets her supplies mainly through donations and even gets the bulk of her food by accepting bags that have gone out of date. We will go at this charity drive just like we did the one for Kendra. 100% of our raffle ticket sales will go directly to St. Francis, as will any cash donations we collect. We will have some really, really cool stuff for the raffle from some different vendors so not only will it be the regular items we're all used to seeing, there will be some unfamiliar stuff there as well. As in the past, if any members want to donate items to the raffle please do so because we love having you guys involved in all this stuff. If anyone has any suggestions just post em up, but KEEP THIS THREAD ON TOPIC AND KEEP IT CLEAN. St. Francis Animal Rescue and Refuge does not have a website but you can view their Facebook page here...... www.facebook.com/pages/St-Francis-Animal-Rescue-Refuge-SFARR/352392415983?hc_location=timelineGo to the page, "like" it......."share" it.....let's help spread the word and do whatever we can to help!! You can also view them on the Petfinder.com website here....... www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&frm=1&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CDEQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.petfinder.com%2Fshelters%2Fsfarr.html&ei=efewUvj9H-Te2AW9m4DoCQ&usg=AFQjCNHJ0oWRwwYLlISi9A2II6pYoDRfxg&bvm=bv.58187178,d.b2I I'm really excited about this shelter because Trish is really an underdog (no pun intended) as far as shelters/animal refuge goes. This is exactly the kind of organization that we need to be helping with. Anything we raise will be greatly appreciated and is going to be extremely welcomed by Trish and St. Francis.

I love this! I know not to click on that facebook link because I will want to make room for them at my already full of animals house. I'm going to try and make this run. I may be in my stockish WJ since I broke the TJ on the last run I was at.

I just copied this from the B2B Facebook page. Everyone mark it on your calendars!!!!! Everyone go and like www.facebook.com/HollywoodFeedOaklnd?hc_location=timeline These folks are the main sponsors of our Winter Run. They provided us with information on several different animal shelters to look at when we were trying to decide on who to hold our charity event for. We will be teaming up with Hollywood Feed in Oakland on Saturday March 22, 2014 from 11:00 am till 3:00 pm to hand over all the proceeds from our fundraisers to St. Francis Animal Rescue & Refuge. We are holding this event at Stockdales located at 6250 Hwy 64 in Oakland (they have a much bigger parking lot than Hollywood Feed). St. Francis Animal Rescue and Refuge will be holding an adoption day so if you're looking to adopt a pet please hold off until this weekend so you can take a look at all the wonderful animals they have to offer. We will have a bunch of members rigs on display along with the B2B Offroad club trailer/grill. Hollywood Feed will have a booth set up, and Stockdales will have a display. We're hoping to have some police and fire equipment there, rumor has it that Rough Country might be able to make it out with a display as well as 4 Wheel Parts..... Hope to see everyone there!!!!!

Well if I make it i might have to come alone, it's not safe to take my family any where near an animal adoption.... :rofl (shoot, we stopped at a Taco Bell in Van Buren, AR and ended up with a kitten)
Sounds like a good time for a great cause...
