I use this Rol-Air compressor at my shop... Not a bad compressor, but it's designed as a light draw compressor for temp power at construction sites. Which actually works great for my shop, b/c my 110V circuit is shared with other units. It barely makes the lights flicker when it cuts on. But as you can imagine, it runs a great deal. The small tanks are great for portability, but not for air storage. I've thought about plumbing it to a larger 80 gallon tank. Think it's worth messing with or not worth the effort? I really don't know the CFM or HP... I'm guessing 1-2hp and 7-9 cfm.

It would take for ever to fill but if that what u got to use then try it. Keep in mi nd the longer the motor runs it would put a strain on the components. Heck make up a fitting hock the line up to the big tank and see uhh f u would like it.

all you need is an airline between the 2 tanks... hook it up and see how it works. I think it'd help, it'll just run FOREVER to fill them.
I'd invest in a better/bigger compressor if that's possible but sometimes you do what you gotta do.

Probably... Those things are freck'n loud and they still take a long time to air up. Sad thing is, I have a ton of air compressors to use. I have a ~130 gallon compressor at my pop's that I inherited from my grandfather that he used in his body shop. I was planning on only moving it once and that's when I build a shop. We used a tractor to move that damn thing last time. I have a portable 2 tank Hitachi compressor that wakes up the neighborhood at my carport. I thieved the orange rolair compressor from my brother. He also has a mack daddy Rolair portable compressor that's sitting up. It run off of a gas engine and I just hate hearing it... I may go take another look at my grandfather's old compressor this weekend, it doesn't need to be sitting up any longer. If nothing else, I could get it going sell it and buy an upright 80 gallon set up.

I have an oiless that is also loud as hell.. But I mated the 27 Gallon with another 27 gallon tank... Yes it takes longer to fill but lasts a lot longer while using.. Works fine for spraying the Cat and air tools..

Mike Penny has also done this. Takes longer to fill but works fine for his tire machine. Bob and I put that machine through the paces one night!

Went to my parents to get some measurements off my grandfathers compressor. 72" long x 30"deep x 50"tall Picture of the head compared to my hand. If I can find a spot for it and get it running, it should work...

I've got one almost identical to that. It's old and slow but it works well.

I've just gotten used to my Costco special running a lot during heavy use. As long as it is still running I've got to spend my money on other things...

That roll air won't have any issues working hard. It is made to. Those type compressors are used on job sites all the time to run nail guns. My families construction business has had one just like it and has been in service for almost 15 yrs. when we have a large job with large volume demand and extra tank is added. Yes a it would be better to get a large stand alone, but I would use the crap out of that thing.
