This has been going around in my head for a while. What tools and parts do you take with you when you head for the trail. I know JSM has the trailer and all but it is not an option for those of us that are not members. I know best 25 dollar you can spend but moving on. I have a couple of tool bags I take with me. I have a tool box on the front of the trailer that use to have all of my jeep parts in it like front and rear axle shafts, diff yokes, fluids, nuts and bolts. This was in case I broke I had everything I need. Well now that my rig is a little more of a buggy than it is anything I learned on my last trip that you can use things besides just spare parts. So I was thinking of a list of things for trail runs to bring because some people may have all the tools and some done have all of them. We could add to the list as we go. Hand Tools
open end wrenches small socket set Hammer/Big freaking hammer pry bar Any special sockets for you rig ETC Power Tools
Battery impact (3/8 or 1/2) Sawzall 4 1/2 angle grinder Drill Welder (110) ETC Material
3/8 or 1/4 plate tubing (round or square) something to sleeve a (drive) shaft with ![(:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/ninja.png) Nuts and bolts ETC The thought is to talk as a group before the run to see who can bring what so I one person doesn't have do bring it all unless they want to. This can turn a early end to a weekend around.

Pretty good idea especially since there are so many different types of rigs. I carry spare front axle shafts, battery impact various weenches and sockets , hand tools. A couple of ratchet straps, small shovel grease gun and fluids. Oh and an old tarp to lay on.

Now that I have a toolbox on the trailer I plan on stocking it with tools, my 110 welder and some spare shafts and such./.. I want one of those roll up bags that hold a whole set of wrenches... I think those would be a great addition..

I've usually got a good assortment of bolts nuts and washers in my tool bag as well, you never know when you're liable to sheer one off on a rock.

Not really tools to work on your truck but things you might need. Recovery Gear Fluids (Oil, brake, beer, etc) ![:pickles:](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/asdysyKc8zdsB9caA8dt.gif)

For my JK I carry.... Tools. 16, 18,19, 21mm fits most the suspension components. 35mm to replace front axle shafts, along with 13mm- (12 point for unit bearing) 8mm with about a foot long extension makes dropping driveshafts easier. Standard little craftman set for others. Hammer, braker bar, pry bar, duct tape!
I usually carry a spare rear driveshaft, tie rod, and need to pick up some u joints for my front shaft I put front and rear track bars and a brand new drag link in the trailer if its a club run. Little bit of all kinda of extra fluids.

I'll have a cpl extra 3/4 x 3/4 16 heims, LH and RH with me for steering. Spare bolts, washers, nuts.... I seems to need them often.
