So, I'm acquiring a soft top this weekend...hopefully. I am wondering what all hardware I should get off the jeep. Pictures are always helpful. Haha.
Also, if anyone knows if a hardtop from 07 will fit an 09. I'm reading mixed reviews online.

Will the hard top fit yes, but the middle windshield frame latch will not line up with the mount on the frame. They moved it starting in 09. The mount can be moved over (a new hole will have to be drilled) to make it work though. Its pretty simple and Im sure a quick google search will give you a how to.
If the soft top you are getting is coming off the 07 you will have to notch the plastic header panel to clear this same mount. Or if you don't plan on using a hard top anymore, you can remove the middle mount.

I know a 07-08 will fit my 2012 cause it seems to be doing fine. I'm guessing the door surrounds and all are that old too. I bought it cheap and doing great! I'm not sure if that helps you or not but maybe it will.

Soft top is coming off 09. Going on my 07. I forgot that the recessed area to clear the mount is wide enough on the 09+ soft tops to clear the original and the new mount location. You should have no problems

What all hardware is there for a soft top. Guy is bringing his jeep over and we are swapping tops. So I need to know what all comes off his jeep.

The whole top is held on with 4 torx screws. 2 on each side of cage in the cargo area. Other than that you will need the door surrounds and hardware that hold them on. You will also need the rear window clips. They are on either side of the tailgate. I think that's it.
