Aftermarket arms are a MAJOR upgrade even for stock sized tires.

Control arms are the way to go. The stock stamped arms are not as durable, and mine rubbed with 31s.

Oh, one other thing. Will I need spacers to run my stock wheels with the lift and 31s?

That is going to depend on your wheel. My stock wheels rubbed at full lock only with 31x 10.50's, but some of these guys run up to 33x10.50 on stock wheels with no spacer. That being said, if it rubbed, it would probably only be at full lock, so you could afford to wait and see. You could pick up the spacers on the back end and your jeep still be road worthy.

Cut fenders and buy some used 31s. Use money for lift on lockers front and rear and run the shit out of it.
