I think we need to look into the idle air sensor, then see if it is still lurching. The fact that is tries to starve itself of air when you are idling may be the issue when you begin to accelerate.

That may have something to do with it, but from what I've read, it's a common issue. Hmm, my TJ seems to have normal throttle response. This could be because I have manual tranny though

Weezul has an auto TJ and I've never seen him have any such issues.

Clean the throttle body... take it back out and see if it helps.. Report back. It only takes about 30 minutes and is a common issue with the 4.0

Weezul has an auto TJ and I've never seen him have any such issues. What he said. I've never had these issues out of mine.
