I blame Charlie when he plasti-dipped the Catalina for planting the bug. I started looking for another Camaro for a while, got a little more serious this winter. Seen tons of 67-68's, but I finally found a 69 that wasn't stupid price. She's no beauty queen, just a 20-30 footer... But it's pretty much what I was looking for. I've crawled all under, over, and through it, she's got her share of cancer, but I won't know the extent until it comes time to dig deeper. I'm guessing 4-5K worth of body work, but maybe I can do it myself and have a fun driver. ![](http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a411/shadrock79/ZBOSS/CE92E957-236F-4A62-91A3-0FEB5BACF8E3-6583-000008952ED159CB_zps7ba44198.jpg) If I decide to keep it, this is what I envisioned... Throw in a stock 5.3 with an over drive, Sweetness and I could do some cruiz'n... ![](http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a411/shadrock79/ZBOSS/BB362B28-2830-403F-A028-382DB40622EF-6583-0000089536E4DF3F_zpsa617b334.jpg)

Reminiscing... Hotrods in the family My mother's car is the Trans-am, the mustang is my sisters, and the red bitch is my old 68. When my mother was shopping for a hers the dealer had her to sit in one of the firebirds on the lot. She had him to crank it, she listened and said,"That's not what I want, I want a V-8"... ![](http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c156/zboss86/ZBOSS%20Trips/DSC02980.jpg) Sweetness with the red bitch... ![](http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c156/zboss86/ZBOSS%20Trips/DSC02994.jpg)

Shoot, the fact that you'll be doing some body work just sunk in. Kinda means existing paint might need to go by the wayside.... ![](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/7Q5Yd6fb9Ibf6Yp423Ai.gif)

It's a photogenic junker Mike ![:thumbup1:](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/Pf3l87Bwpxax9yHk6S6v.gif) ... Looks good in pics, but its got repairs that need to be made. If it wasn't for the bubbles, I'd leave it be. I got it to tinker on and to drive. I'd be way too anal if I threw a nice paint job on it. But you're right, Lemans blue is an awesome color on these cars!

nice....I used to own a 67 Camaro, and miss that car more than any vehicle I have owned. It was an original 6 cyl car, but had a 350 in when I got it. Pulled that out and dropped a fresh stock 327 in it. Ended up trading that for a 71 GTO droptop. It had a Pontiac 350 in it when I got it, pulled that and dropped in 455, then I couldn't afford to drive it anymore, as it was a daily driver. Ended up selling that and getting a Ranger ![](//storage.proboards.com/3613987/images/K5XMGO2Vc5hob9jKuMJo.png)

Very nice! My last Chevelle was Marina Blue which is almost that shade. If your going LS why not go with a 6.0? Same size just a few more cubes. Change the cam out for a different profile and they make great cruisers. Nice project, can't wait to see progress.

Once I get some of the other things squared away, I'll build 6.0 liter. I just got to get rid of this blasted carburetor and 2 speed tranny...
