Slinky is fully 4x4 again..  now to bleed the brakes and clean out the interior and load him up on the trailer with his sister top off with fuel and get on the road....  Good to hear! Are we taking bets on how long the gears in the 30 last this time?  |

Damn.. did I miss the gear install??? i guess we did  But really They went in without issues and all my tolerances are better than I expected them to be, except that now my pinion seal is leaking so I'm going to replace that today, along with getting my driveshaft shortened a little more, Thanks to Shrek for coming over and helping sort that issue out..  |

Replaced the power steering pump. Pulled off the inspection plate on the transmission to see if it stopped the ticking and it did! Gonna space it out a bit with a couple washers and all will be good.

Sway bar bushings/ remount higher.
Washed it. Dried it.
Worked on a organization/rack setup for the back

Put the inspection plate back on today and learned some stuff on rebuilding an engine. Not a bad afternoon.

I drove mine yesterday to pick the kiddos up from school....I took the looooong way, down 2 lane back roads, and it was a great ride to and from BECAUSE THE JEEP WAS TOPLESS!!!!!!!!!! The look on my son's face when he saw the topless Jeep was priceless! He yelled out Rusty is topless, then took off running to the Jeep. |
