I have had a lock rite in the rear of my TJ since 2001. Never had any issues with around 70,000 mi put on that locker so far. I would buy another in a heartbeat.

I'll second the Spartan. I have one in my front D30 and love it. It'll make some noise but it hasn't let me down at all. And I have been beating on mine for a little bit now, not as much as Charlie beats on his.

Yes... the detroit works the same way as the lock rite... only much much bigger and harder to install! If you open the diff you can tell by looking at it if it has the detroit or not...

If it has a limited slip carrier it will be a one piece carrier and 3 cross pins... the open carrier has 4 cross pins... If you have the LS then you will need to swap it out for an open carrier before you can put in the detroit

damn thats massive...I havent seen the inside of it yet they r intransit to me know but i was told after 2003 the chrysler 14 bolt was really a gm 14 bolt but thats a rumor untill i open it up and see... but if the detroit slips in the turns to i might as well save my money and buy something just as good.

So this is going under a cherokee? The AAM 11.5 that you have is a ground clearance hog. 40-42" tire minimum just to have close to same diff clearance as a stock xj on 35s.

This is true... your gonna loose a lot of clearance.. Even with my 38.5's I still have a little trouble with clearance.. But for the strength gain I don't mind a bit!!
