Thug 2.0 This poor Jeep has had more names than a cheap Chinese whore (this is not a racial slur, just a joke so)

Well, the night started out like this..... Then C. Lard showed up and this happened...... OOOPPS............I mean THIS happened....... Which turned into this...... And eventually wound up like this..... I ended up using 2" x 4" box tubing which was just a little taller than the actual inside measurement of the frame. So what we did was notch the tubing to where we could slide it into the frame. We welded it all the way around and plug welded it in several places. I'm gonna split that joint with my winch plate and on the front of the frame where the bumper is welded to it I'll have a plate going across the top of the bumper for my fairlead mount that'll also go over the frame rails so all of it will be tied together. Anyone have any suggestions or concerns?

You are going to put back the rad. support aren't you? Yeah. This isn't completed yet, it's just the beginning. I've still got a ton of stuff to do, only reason I put the paint on it is so there wasn't a surface rust issue.

Got the steering box "mounted".....I need new bolts and sleeves for the frame and I got the gas tank pulled today. The rear stretch is gonna be a lot easier and less time consuming than the front!

HUGE thanks to Chris and Collin (most of you don't know him, he goes by SW86 ) We got so much done today, I couldn't have done it without them. The front suspension is in and The Thug is sitting at an overall height of 74" to the top of the roll bar, I'm probably gonna re-drill the shackles and drop it down another inch. And just so everyone knows.....he's sitting 5" lower than he was before this stage of the build. That means the bottom of the tub was where the bottom of the doors are. So yeah, he's a lot shorter. I did the hi-line so he looks real tall but he's only an inch or so taller than the Weezul that's sitting on 35's... I've still got a ton of stuff to do to the axle and the steering but I just NEEDED to get the knuckles on and axle shafts in so I could see him on the ground again. This is kinda like a rough draft of the semi finished project.... (sorry for the fuzzy pic) I need a stock pitman arm now, anyone need a 4" drop pitman arm??
