This new to me jeep hates me I think. It is bringing new meaning to just empty every pocket! I have spent the last three weeks fixing odd and ends things on it. Mostly bushing, routing things the propper way, fuel leaks, brakes, hubs, just general stuff. I then move on to the transfer cases , notice they are both empty of fluid. Well the back one is crakcked with a big ole hole in it, and the front one is just loose from the adapter and leaking. I pull them out and while I have them out I have noticed the trans was slipping a little while playing in the yard with it. So I pull the trans also. Drive my happy butt all the way to muscle shoals alabama to my favorite transmission guy , Kenny Ford @ PTC ( good friend of mine and has done all my race car transmissions) any way he builds the trans while I wait around in muscle shoals. I brag to to all my buddies how good he is and thats why I carried it over there so I only had to do it once ( insert foot in mouth here) Well now the trans is back in the back of the truck cause it didnt work Moral of story.... dont brag about how good someone is until they are that good , or dont count your chickens till they hatch Dang this jeep is killing me , I hope the dang thing will live once I get it all back up runnning .

I did the same thing with Spencer Lee's Transmission, I've had several trannys built by them and I was very happy until i took my Jeep there and felt like I got completely ripped off and now I'll never go there again.
Hope it all works out for you, just have patience Grasshopper

I know Kenny, Terrell, and Sammy, the Ford brothers have been building transmissions and converters for over 25 years. I know they are as honest as the days are long, they'll take care of any problem you have, I guess everyone makes a mistake occasionally. I hope it works out soon.

Well I got most of it back in the jeep. Just a few loose ends and fill with fluid tomorrow evening and we will see if it will work this time. I have my fingers crossed

Saw that you got to take the jeep out and play around a little bit in it (even if it was in the mud). Glad that everything is back in working order. Get that work truck up and running so you can keep the jeep and continue to enjoy it. After all, you've already done all of the hard work and fixed/replaced everything that was wrong with it!
