I figured it up with a calculator and got 13 with my Jeep on the trailer 4 people and a weekend worth of food, clothes, tent, and tools going to Hawk Pride. But I never really got over about 3500 rpm I didn't either until that damn hill!

I have 2 Dmaxes. One that is heavily modded and gets consistent 18.5 mpg. It is an 02. It has 345,000 miles. It will milk 21 on the highway if you are gentle. My 03 is stock and has 215,000. It gets 21 unloaded and 17.5 pulling my Jeep. I love both of them and will run them until they die. I would buy another in a heart beat. Get an 06 if you can find it. Those IMO were the best Dmaxes ever made other than the LB7s which both of mine are.
The injector issues were worked out. I had both trucks done under warranty but not had any more issues. That was hundred of thousands of miles ago.
I drive a ton and am pretty hard on trucks. My 2014 Silverado I bought in September of 14 already has 24,000 miles.
