There was a model in there somewhere that you could buy a conversion and install a Ford Flathead V-8. I've seen a coulple but don't remember the year or model. Those are nice tractors. If your going to bush hog with it much get the PTO adaptor so it won't push you thru the end of the field.

What data logging software is that? does it have a spark retard reading? Looks like your o2 sensor is not reading correctly. It should be switching back and forth much faster. Was the engine up to temp or cold when that was done? Can you read fuel trims? What are the vehicle symptoms?

I think the guy that did these was an airplane designer during WWII and somehow got into tractors after the war. The 6 cyl ones had a very rare and expensive aluminum hood extension on them. www.oldfordtractors.com/funk.htmwww.staufferv8.com/index.phpGG

Went through some of my old logs. I Don't have any 4 banger stuff but here is a bone stock v8. The advance doesn't vary but a degree or 2 at idle and the o2 sensors switch from less then 100 up to near 900. don't pay any attention to the last few inches of the scan, it looks like someone was messing with he throttle. and the maf was disconnected

How the crap do you watch this on your laptop?! it's a program called hp tuners, it does data logging and custom tuning. I originally used it to tune my drag car but in recent years all I do is correct speedometers for oversized tires and permanently turn off service engine lights for emissions codes And other silly shit people don't want to fix. It will alter almost any parameter in an ecm.

The HP Tuners software is similar to the EFIlive that was used to tune my D-max. The data logging portion is great for running down a finicky symptom.
Does it have to use a license fee locked with the VIN for tunning purposes?

I've used both but the hp tuners is much better software for tuning ls based vehicles. I've tuned my duramax with the hp tuners as well as several others but efi really conered the market on them.

Thanks Greg, now I know who to come to when I get ready to tune my Suburban! Hey you don't know of a two cyl Yanmar motor anywhere do you? I have an Yanmar mini excavator that I could really use a motor for. There is a guy in Bartlett, Bobby Autrey, he sells a lot of the Yanmar tractors and also does tractor repair. I am sure he could locate one. I don't have his phone number anymore but he used to have a lot of those tractors listed on CL. Hope this helps Greg G
