Looking at a built 2009 Rubicon , was a mall crawler , only been in rocks a few times . Very little rock rash . Pics look great , its got everything on it . Sitting on 37s with gearing for tires . What should I look for ? Any JK problems ?

1. The obvious.. It's a 3.8 which is about 80 HP less than a 2012 and up 2. Make sure all the recalls have been addressed.. 3. If it has a 4" lift or more make sure the front drive-shaft has been clearanced.. 4. Check the exhaust manifold.. they have a tendency to crack especially driver side

make sure it still has the correct axles and transfer case in it, and that the lockers work.

If I buy , could I take the 1 in body spacer OFF , and run 35s ? or would that look funny ? He thinks its a 5 in Rough county lift . But its geared for 37s so that also could be a problem . But the 2009s do have the less HP engines

But the 2009s do have the less HP engines With the 5" lift it may look awkward on 35's.. I have cut fenders and 2" lift on 35's and it's just right I think. The gears from 37 to 35 wouldn't be that much difference to worry about.. plus like you said it would help with the lack of power.. The RC lift will more than likely ride rough.. so you may wanna consider changing it or getting better shocks.. I would throw 35's on it.. drop it down to at least a 4".. good shocks and run it..

Thanks for help , but I guess deal id OFF . I asked for more pics , under jeep , tires , etc . NO pics yet , I asked how and when could I pay the bank off ( mon - fri ) I guess ?? No reply , also asked his best cash price ? No reply ? he said " we will work it out " we are less than $5000 apart on sealing the deal . My last text asked for more info, more pics , and pay off details . No reply , other than " still for sale " So I am done with him , we did talk once on phone ,it did not sound like a scam ? Maybe he has a better deal waiting Thanks for help
