Then someone set it up.. I would but I can't go that far and be on call too..
Also need to consider that this is a week and a half away.. not sure how many will still be hungry by then.. Take some chainsaws, clothing etc and maybe help with cleanup..

Few things we need to think about...
The reason we are thinking about going to Tupelo is because very few members are free that day. This means turnout would be really low.
How do we cover the cost of giving food away?
The trailer still needs a new axle before it takes anymore road trips. Should get done this weekend hopefully.
I like the idea a lot. We just need to work out some details. Also lets not forget our B2B family that needs help down there. Be nice to do a club work day at Mike's sister's property if/when they need help.

How do we cover the cost of giving food away? It would be like any other charity drive.. we would take it out of club funds or have donations set up.The trailer still needs a new axle before it takes anymore road trips. Should get done this weekend hopefully. Thought about this too.. hopefully it can be done ahead of time..I like the idea a lot. We just need to work out some details. Also lets not forget our B2B family that needs help down there. Be nice to do a club work day at Mike's sister's property if/when they need help. This was what I had in mind as far as chainsaws and helping out.. I'm sure with her husband down and out she could use the extra help!! Mike.. can you get something going with your sister and find out what exactly she needs and how we can help.. that would help us as far as what to do...

They really aren't sure what they want to do right now. The house that's still standing was lifted up on one end and moved and part of the roof was ripped off breaking some of the rafters and most of the windows were blown out. It looks like hobos lived in because everything was tossed around and dirt and crap blown in. They aren't sure at this point if it can be repaired, after getting the debris away from the house so we could get a better look at the damage, it just may be possible to make the needed repairs but it will be major. Their biggest hold up now, besides Jeff having a heat attack, it money for building materials. He is talking about building another small house back on the slab of the house that was destroyed until they can fix the other one, but still there is materials cost. We got the main debris cleared from around the houses, the rest of the surrounding property was mostly just woods any way. I'll know more after this weekend.

She told me last night that she may have an RV before this weekend and that will help but they still need power. They have a temporary pole that could be turned back on but it needs the weather head put back up before they can have service lines run back to it

Regarding Sardis Lake. I've been watching the water levels and they seem to have risen quite a bit. I haven't kept up with this thread, but if Sardis Lake is still an options, it might be a good idea for someone to check it out before hand. sardis.uslakes.info/Level.aspJosh

Very few people are free this Saturday so our GTD plans kinda dropped off.
Hopefully we can do a club day at the lake sometime this summer.

It's the time of year that they start raising the water level. that controls the flow of water down stream to stop flooding the farm land. I'll be back at my sisters. We are planning on removing the second story of the house and build a new roof. making it one story. We hope to have enough good lumber from what we remove to rebuild the roof. If anyone is bored and wants to work their assess off and sleep in a tent all weekend are welcome to come

I'm on call so going that far can;t happen for me.. Sardis would be good if I didn;t have a shit ton of stuff to pull out and put up for sale and get ready for the move.. So looks like I may take a couple hours on Saturday and run over to Showfest.. Anyone else wanna go?
