I also have a 1974 Chevy Cheyenne Super 10 that my grandfather bought brand new and gave to me many years ago. I did a mini restoration on it years ago and then let it sit for many years since then. I recently did an engine swap on it because the original engine was getting weak and the tranny was giving me problems Pulled the old 350 with the 2 barrel out and replaced it with a fresh 350 and a 4 barrel carburetor, mild street cam and gear drive Wonder why it was running so bad Also found one of the problems with the tranny. I don't think that spring it supposed to be in 4 pieces I got it all back in and just got it running a couple days ago but it still needs a little tweaking and tuning

Another project in line is a '74 Chevy Nova Hatchback Custom. I have a fresh built 307 to go in it but the tranny is in dire need of a rebuild and the rear axle has some issues. Shift kits and a heavy foot will ruin trannys and rear ends I've had the Nova since my mid 20's (long tome ago) and I actually had it in car shows back in the day. You'd never know that to look at it now because it has been neglected for quite a few years now. My plan is to have it going by the end of summer this year, get the body work done and get it in primer.

finally finally finally !!! I finally figured out my starting problems with the Orange nightmare !!! It has been giving me problems starting after it sits for a day or so, I would have to prime it several times to get it running and then it would start fine until it sat for a day or so then i would have to prime it again. I checked for fuel flow/pressure, changed the filter and fuel pump etc. I finally got the aftermarket throttle and passing gear linkage on it this weekend and got it running, then decided to get under it and just give the underneath a look for anything that might need attention and noticed something dripping ... Humm it was fuel !!! BINGO !! So a fuel line to the pump was leaking draining the fuel line from the tank switch to the pump and of course evaporating so I never noticed it. This has been going on since I did the engine swap last year !!! New fuel lines and it now starts and runs like it should

I bought a transmission for the Nova at the Super Chevy Show so I guess it's now time to get the Blue time bomb back moving on it's own power again

Finally bought some ball joints for the 74 truck today. I'm tired of losing my ride every time someone's vehicle breaks down. The driver side lower ball joint is about to fall apart and that's all that's keeping me from driving it regularly. I drive it occasionally but just keep waiting for the a arm to hit the ground when I do. Oh and I still need to get ms antique tags, it still has tn antique tags and I've been in ms 13 years
