I've done lunchbox lockers in 8.8's and D30's, Toyota's are more involved. Anyone have hands on experience?
Thanks

We did a yota rear axle one evening In Charlie's garage. It wasn't much harder. Just have to drop the 3rd.

Drop 3rd, mark the side spacer/spanner deals, pound ring gear off. I've never done such and would rather have experienced help.

I don't like the term "pound ring gear" one bit. Something about pounding on a machined surface doesn't sit well with me.

Oh, and if it has spanners, instead of marking them simply make sure you set them. I'd rather set them right than set them like you found them. (which is hopefully right as well)

All pounding is via brass drift.

Yup it was mine. Not that hard to do. Hardest part was getting the chunk out.

My garage is available but it'll have to be scheduled.. I plan on working on the Catalina this week after work.. If I remember the hardest part was figuring out how to get the third out.. Putting the locker in was easy... Setting the carrier back was easy as well... I think it took us about an hour or 2.. No biggie!
Be glad to help as would a lot of the guys here down south.. Just LMK
