We want to do some kind of overland trip, like the "ultimate adventure." Start at HP run back woods to Superlift and run back roads to smorr.

Idk when and do not have it mapped out. Just sounded like a great idea after watching ultimate adventure 2013.

It's not as bad as you think. Google Earth is your friend.
A friend and I did the TN TAT on dual sport bikes. Lots of fun.
I will say though that is lot of miles for a weekend if that is what you were thinking. If it takes 3 hrs to get to super lift on highway it's gonna take you 8 hrs or better on back roads. Trust me its gonna be slow going. But would be fun.

That'd be brutal, imagine driving to 3 parks wheeling and then driving home. There would be a trail of broke down Jeeps... Although my Jeep would have a better chance of surviving than my back or wallet.

Ben we might need a parts truck and an emergency trailer.

I used mapquest to work on the route. (Will put up link later) shows to be total from HP to Smorr stopping at SL is 615 miles. 7 hours 10 min from HP to SL and 5 hours 12 mins to Smorr. With driving and riding, including the trip home, it would take 6-7 days depending on if we go to HP the night before.
The total for me with camping and fees for riding would be about $150. The total charge for gas for my rig, at approx 15 mpg, would be $150, not counting the gas used during wheeling. Sharing tents would reduce the camping charges and we could possibly get fees reduced.
So barring any repairs we could do it much cheaper than I was expecting. To cut down on food costs we could all pitch in and bring food for the grill, hopefully the b2b grill, and sandwich stuff for lunch. I know I personally can't take a week off for this until next fall. A year gives everyone time to get their rigs in proper working order to make this trip. Who is up for this?

In order for the Ghetto Thug to be able to do this I just need to do a few important upgrades. I'll definitely drive it on this trip when I'm done with this next round of stuff.
