What about this. Get a set of body armor type rear corners and extend them behind the wheel well and cut the tub and extend it. It won't change the wheel base but by making the tub longer it will change the front to rear weight bias and also make more room for the grill in back. You'll have to extend the frame rails to match also. Only thing it won't allow is the use of a factory soft top. Something would have to be made.

And the grill needs to be insode out of the elements or were gonna be swappng it out more often.. Not to mention the roll bar would look weird..

This is true. You could always sleeve and extend the roll bar too, to be proportionate. Otherwise make a really heavy bumper and put a spare and such on the rear for some extra ballast. Maybe even do sime Jerry cans full of fresh water for drinking or clean up. It was just a thought.

We are on limited funds and limited labor since only a few show up to work on it. We would like to get it up and running as a grill asap so some things may have to wait till later to "customize" it. We do have a 2x6 bumper that's going on back.. and since the tailgate has a mount we may end up with a spare back.. That may help with offsetting the tongue weight.. Jerry cans of some kind for cleaning hands or cooking utensils is a great idea..

They are calling for possible rain Sunday but if it's not raining I'll be at the lake. I have 4 weekends to get everything done there and get all my crap moved from the old place to the new place. Charlie and Ben know where everything that should be needed is so your all welcome to come do some work on it if one of them want to, I just won't be here. My son will be here but he won't be any help .. he don't know where anything is
